Every registered voter is mailed a ballot automatically.

All Oregon elections are held by mail. You can still request a one-time absentee ballot if you will be away from home during a specific election.

Oregon lets you pre-register from age 16, so you are on the roll the moment you turn 18.

Who can register, and what you need

To register in Oregon you must:

be a United States citizen
be an Oregon resident
be at least 16 years old to register, and 18 years old by Election Day to vote

Which primary can you vote in?

If you wish to vote in Oregon partisan primary elections, you must register with a major party. You should register with the party whose primary you would like to vote in. If you do not register with a party or you are affiliated with a minor party, you may vote on nonpartisan races and measures if they are available.
