Trump’s Approval Underwater
ActiVote’s April 1, 2025 presidential approval poll finds that President Trump’s approval rating has dropped to 47.6%, about 2% below his disapproval rating of 49.4%.
A total of 799 ActiVote users weighed in on Trump’s approval between March 1 and March 31. They rated Trump on a 5-star rating, which is then converted into standard “approval” and “disapproval” percentages.
March’s numbers are still better than Trump’s average over the 48 months of his first presidency, which averaged to about 41% approval.
The groups with a net positive approval rating are rural, older voters (50+), men, Republicans, Whites, middle income voters and voters with a high school education or less.
If we look at the left-to-right spectrum, Trump gains almost as much approval from the (moderate) right with 91%, as he gets disapproval from the (moderate) left with 93%. The crucial group of centrists is almost evenly split with a net approval rating of 2%..
