Trump’s Approval Ticks Up
ActiVote’s November 1, 2025 presidential approval poll finds that President Trump’s approval rating ticks up from 43.5% to 46.0%, while his disapproval rating ticked down by 0.9%, from 51.5% to 50.6% yielding a significantly improved net approval rating of -4.6%.
A total of 574 ActiVote users weighed in on Trump’s approval between October 1 and October 31. They rated Trump on a 5-star rating, which is then converted into standard “approval” and “disapproval” percentages.
October’s numbers are Trump’s best of the last four months and significantly better than Trump’s average over the 48 months of his first presidency (41%), better than Biden’s average approval rating for his full term (41%), and Biden’s final year’s approval rating (40%).
The groups with a net positive approval rating are rural, older (50+), men and Republicans, White voters, those with high incomes and those with some college.
If we look at the left-to-right spectrum, Trump’s approval among his base is very high with 87%, while his disapproval on the left is nearly unanimous (96%). The crucial group of centrists are making the difference with a net +11 approval rating.
