Trump’s Approval Takes a Big Hit

ActiVote’s December 1, 2025 presidential approval poll finds that President Trump’s approval rating dropped from 45.6% to 41.4%, while his disapproval rating increased from 50.6% to 54.5% yielding a negative swing of 8.1%. His net disapproval is the worst of his second term and for the first time in our monthly polling reached double digits: -13.1%.

A total of 568 ActiVote users weighed in on Trump’s approval between November 1 and November 30. They rated Trump on a 5-star rating, which is then converted into standard “approval” and “disapproval” percentages.

November’s numbers are Trump’s worst of 2025 and now on par with the average of Trump’s first presidency (41%), similar to Biden’s average approval rating for his full term (41%) and close to Biden’s final year’s approval rating (40%).

The groups with a net positive approval rating are rural, older (65+), men, Republicans, White voters, and those with a high school degree or less.

If we look at the left-to-right spectrum, Trump’s disapproval on the left and moderate left continue to be nearly unanimous (95%). The drop in overall approval this month comes from his base, with 10% of the right disapproving, and almost 1 in 5 of the moderate right disapproving. Furthermore, a clear majority (53%) of the crucial centrists now disapprove of Trump.
