Trump’s Approval Remains Steady
ActiVote’s October 1, 2025 presidential approval poll finds that President Trump’s approval rating remains steady at 43.5% virtually identical to last month’s 43.7% approval rating, while his disapproval rating ticked up by 1.1%, from 50.4% to 51.5% yielding a slightly worsened net approval rating of -8.0%.
A total of 485 ActiVote users weighed in on Trump’s approval between September 1 and September 30. They rated Trump on a 5-star rating, which is then converted into standard “approval” and “disapproval” percentages.
September’s numbers are still better than Trump’s average over the 48 months of his first presidency (41%), better than Biden’s average approval rating for his full term (41%), and Biden’s final year’s approval rating (40%).
The groups with a net positive approval rating are rural, young (18-29), men and Republicans, Latino voters, those with high incomes and those with High school or less, or a 4-year college degree.
If we look at the left-to-right spectrum, Trump’s approval among his base, the moderate right and right, increased significantly to 92%, eight points up from last month, while his disapproval from the left and moderate left increased from 93% to 94%. The crucial group of centrists are down to a -5 approval rating from -3 last month.
