Trump’s Approval On The Rise

ActiVote’s June 2, 2025 presidential approval poll finds that President Trump’s approval rating is 46.3% while his disapproval rating stands at 50.2% yielding a net approval rating of -3.9%, which is an overall improvement compared to April’s -6.1% of 2.2%

A total of 488 ActiVote users weighed in on Trump’s approval between May 1 and May 31. They rated Trump on a 5-star rating, which is then converted into standard “approval” and “disapproval” percentages.

May’s numbers are significantly better than Trump’s average over the 48 months of his first presidency (41%), better than Biden’s average approval rating for his full term (41%), and Biden’s final year’s approval rating (40%).

The groups with a net positive approval rating are rural, middle-aged voters (50-64), men, Republicans, Whites and Latinos, low income voters and those with a college education.

If we look at the left-to-right spectrum, Trump’s approval among his base, the moderate right and right, stayed at 88% (same as last month), while his disapproval from the left and moderate left has ticked up to 95%. The crucial group of centrists are the key change from last month: from a -12% approval rating, they now rate the president with a net positive approval rating of +3%.
