Slight Decline in Trump’s Approval Ratings
ActiVote’s July 1, 2025 presidential approval poll finds that President Trump’s approval rating is 44.5% while his disapproval rating stands at 51.5% yielding a net approval rating of -7.0%, which is his worst net approval rating of his second term.
A total of 523 ActiVote users weighed in on Trump’s approval between June 1 and June 30. They rated Trump on a 5-star rating, which is then converted into standard “approval” and “disapproval” percentages.
June’s numbers are still better than Trump’s average over the 48 months of his first presidency (41%), better than Biden’s average approval rating for his full term (41%), and Biden’s final year’s approval rating (40%).
The groups with a net positive approval rating are rural, middle-aged voters (50-64), men and Republicans.
If we look at the left-to-right spectrum, Trump’s approval among his base, the moderate right and right, dropped to 86%, two points down from last month, while his disapproval from the left and moderate left stayed about the same at 95%. The crucial group of centrists are the main change from last month: from a +3% approval rating, they now rate the president with a net negative approval rating of -6%.
