Our 1st Birthday!

On January 3rd, 2019 we founded ActiVote in a conference room in Philadelphia. Today we celebrate our first birthday, and what an amazing experience it has been!

We have engaged with candidates for local, state and federal office who are passionate to make a difference. We have collaborated with civic entrepreneurs who all want to improve participation in our Democracy. We have met passionate activists and advocates who came together across the aisle in various conferences and conventions. We have been inspired by the next generation of voters through our interns who volunteered their summer time, energy and ideas to make ActiVote better. We put our heads down and worked hard to deliver our app to users in every single state around the country. And then we made improvements based on all the feedback we received. And we voted in our own local elections, learning again that every vote counts as 1 of our city council seats was decided by … a single vote out of almost 23,000 votes.

We are excited about what we have accomplished in 2019 and we are very much looking forward to doing even more in 2020!
